Novels! Novellas! Lunch Tales!
Magazines!
My novels can be categorized in three basic groups: The Last
Adventurer's Universe, The Vampyre Empyre Universe, and other
stories. Most of my standard-sized novels are about one-hundred
thousand words in length, give or take a word or two. There are a
few standard-sized novels a little longer or shorter. Then,
there are the epic length novels of about two-hundred thousand words
such as Vampyre Empyre and Source of Power. Legend
of The Argo weighs in at about three-hundred and thirty-five
thousand words. Another set of abbreviated novels are about
sixty-five thousand words. These latter books are certainly for the
quick-read, but not any less exciting than the others.
My current novel series include The Last Adventurer (8
books completed), Character Mutiny (3 books completed), Luna
II ( 2 books completed), Martin Kane (3 books
completed), Terror (1 book completed), Vampyre
Empyre (2 books completed), Source of Power (1 book
completed), The Knight and His Mermaid (1 book completed), Legend
of the Argo ( 1 book completed), Alaskan Encounter
(Single Book), Librarian Ink (1 book completed), plus many in
the works.
Lunch Tales were conceived as a reader's snack for lunch
while he or she is eating lunch! A story of about eight to ten
thousand words, this neat, little, square-bound package will fit in
a shirt pocket. I have about fifteen complete and will release five
each month in the following genres: romance, science-fiction,
fantasy, horror, mystery, paranormal, western, and general fiction.
Each Lunch Tale has a self-contained, complete tale, however,
due to size restraints when manufacturing multiple books at once, I
will often throw in a bonus short story to even out the various
sizes of each book.
As with the regular Lunch Tales, the Lunch Tale Anthologies
come in various genres. I will also be releasing five each month.
Each anthology will have four stories in them although, as with the
regular Lunch Tales, an extra story may be added to even out
the page lengths of the various books. With over three hundred short
stories already written, I have many issues of the Lunch Tale
Anthologies ready for release.

In my humble opinion, novellas are a great story length. They off
both the writer and the reader the opportunity to enjoy a complete
tale with some meat to it without having to journey across hundreds
of pages of text to get to the climax. Yet, it is long enough to
offer the reader some sense of emotional fulfillment upon completing
the tale. For me, writing a novella allows me to get right to all
the action and the crux of the tale, though I do enjoy filling every
niche with character and story development. You might say it's akin
to making a Cornish hen with all the appropriate side dishes for
dinner instead of a turkey. It's still a complete meal with all the
embellishments of the larger bird, but just enough for the
evening!
Although I also wrote novelettes at one time, adapting a few of
my novels as serialized novelettes, they
have been discontinued and are no longer available for sale. I may
release the remaining copies for sale sometime in the future, but as
of yet, I am undecided about them.
Silver Quill Alpha was designed as a series of anthology books
that would allow me to produce twenty short stories per month. My
writing schedule allow me to write a short story five times a week.
The stories fall into five categories: romance, science-fiction,
fantasy, horror, and general fiction. The book would be a
compilation of four weeks worth of work, plus I would include an
eight thousand word chapter of a a serialized twelve chapter book as
well as an eight thousand word chapter of a three chapter novella. I
love this particular schedule as it gives me the opportunity to
write a great many stories without too much mental exertion while
still allowing me time for my larger projects. Also, within the
pages of the Silver Quill Alpha book the reader will find
information on my comics, games, and other projects. Although the
basis of all stories in Silver Quill Alpha was that they were to be
stand alone tales, I found the tales of the origin of my mythical
universe at the forefront of all my fantasy tales. So, although
originally I had intended for none of the tales to exist
within the universe of my other books, some do. Silver Quill Alpha
is slated to be a monthly release.
Silver Quill Omega is almost exactly like Silver Quill Alpha
with one significant difference. ALL the stories, without exception,
in these books take place in the worlds and universes found in the
pages of my other books. There will be tales from the world of
the Last Adventurer, Character Mutiny, Luna II, Vampyre Empyre,
Source of Power, and the like. Silver Quill Omega, however, will
only be released on a quarterly basis.
Silver Quill Junior contains four tales oriented to the younger
set. It also has a stand alone, longer tale as well as a chapter of
a serialized novel in each of the Silver Quill Junior issues. The
tales range from the fantastic and surreal to tales of our world,
today. Some of the stories are related to people and places in other
books I have written. This series of books is slated to be released
bi-monthly.
Comic Continuation Compilations will be exactly what they sound
like. I will be continuing my existing comic series in purely
written form, without accompanying artwork. These issues will be
released as 'Comic Continuations.' Once a series has been completed
(in most cases), I will compile the resulting, complete story into a
book and publish it in that manner. It is a nice way to complete
incomplete projects and make them available to my readers.
